Mar.12th God Dislikes Ingratitude
Bible Reading: Ps. 78:41-42, 59-61
Ps. 78:41-42 ‘yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: the day when He redeemed them from the enemy’
Those who forget God’s power and goodness grieve and provoke Him; and such people never leave the ‘wilderness’. Do not fall into the same error as Israel, allowing difficulty or hardship to incite ingratitude
God had done so much but they remembered so little. The current ‘desert’ made them forget God’s previous ‘deliverance’. Incessant complaining and questioning eventually becomes very costly. God dislikes and reacts to ingratitude.
Stop stagnation and depreciation when you stop taking God for granted and all murmuring, complaining and listing what He hasn’t done yet. The bible says ‘He has done all things well’ Mk. 7:37
Thank God for what He does in the lives of others; its proof He can do it for you. Acknowledge Him and He will acknowledge you. Like Paul and Silas, give God praise in the direst circumstances. Make the right choice and God will come through.
Prayer:
• Pray for godly and divinely arranged relationships; also for strong loving homes. Mat. 21:13; 1 Tim. 4:8; Rom. 8:14; Gen 24:7
• Ask God to give his people the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Eph. 1:16-19, Prov. 8:12
Thought for the day:
Pay your dues; give God thanks.
