August 20th Condition Your Soul II
Bible Reading: 2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 12:2; Dan. 11:32
2 Cor. 10:5 ‘casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ’
Apostle Paul said ‘casting down arguments… against the knowledge of God…’ Reasoning and rationalising are arguments of the mind. Consciously or unconsciously, the mind processes or argues based on the information it’s been fed with. Information or knowledge is intellectual consciousness i.e. what you know or do not know. Hence, you know and then draw conclusions with your mind.
Gen. 11:6 ‘and the Lord said, indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them’
You are born again but your mind is not and that’s why you have to renew your mind daily. Life choices and decisions are made in the mind and most battles of faith take place in this arena. Your imaginations, mental rulings and inner thoughts are either biblical and success producing or carnal and failure attracting. Re-condition your soul for success.
3 Jn. 2 ‘beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers’
Prayer:
i. Pray against global diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, etc that ravage the nations. 1 Pt. 2:24
ii. Come against the threat of previously curable diseases that have now mutated e.g. tuberculosis. Mat. 8:17
Thought for the day:
Success is filling the mind with bible knowledge to process.
