August 14th Proclaim The Word II
Bible Reading: Mat. 10:32; 1 Sam. 17:26, 36, 46
Ps. 89:1-2
‘I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I have said, mercy shall be built up forever; your faithfulness you shall establish in the very heavens’
A lot of folk do not realise how important what they say is. For instance every threat to your life, family, health, finances, ministry or career needs a word pronouncement and proclamation. The word ‘confess’ in Greek is ‘homologeo’. This means say the same thing God says, speak out with effort and energy and also to verbally assent, accord and agree with God with conviction and passion.
Rom. 10:10
‘for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation’
David spoke to Goliath and brought him down. Success is for bible confessing believers. Speak vitality, long life, wealth and riches. Proclaim deliverance, testimonies, peace and happy homes according to the word of God. God said ‘let there be…’ and all He saw ‘was good…’ If you want to see ‘good success’ start speaking like God spoke in the face of chaos and confusion.
1 Pt. 3:10 ‘for he who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit’
Prayer:
i. Pray for the political and ceremonial leadership of the United Kingdom. 1 Tim 2:1-4
ii. Come against the rise of the spirit of violence and radicalization in the nation. Hab. 1:2-4
Thought for the day:
To love life is to refrain your tongue from evil speaking
