Divine Direction – by Pastor Charles Karanja
Restoration will not just occur by chance. It will require co-operation with Heaven for manifestation. Your restoration to the place of God’s fullness will require your understanding of ‘Divine Direction’. Anyone led by God is guaranteed to arrive at God’s desired destination.
 
As we birth this new year of restoration, during the 21 days of prayer and fasting, Isaiah 58 lists the blessings of the fast God desires. One blessing listed as a consequence of fasting right is ‘The Lord will guide you’ (Is. 58:11a).
 
While meditating I realised that there are various aspects to being divinely directed by God. Following is a breakdown of the word ‘DIRECTION.’

D: Divinely mandated.
To be led by the flesh or carnality will lead to death (Romans 8:5-6). Seek to be lead by God in all things at all times it will set you apart and above (Romans 8:14)!
 
I: Instruction
Every heavenly instruction leads to greatness. Look at the example of Abraham who followed an instruction to move, resulting in the birthing of a nation (Genesis 12:1-3). God’s instructions are capsules of wisdom that enhance our wellbeing.
 
R: Rewarding
Elijah, during the time of drought, was led to the place of provision. As you are led by God, His reward is your continual provision (1 Kings 17:2-4, 8-15).
 
E: Entry Point
Abraham moved following an instruction, resulting in him becoming a father. His obedience to a heavenly instruction became his entry point to fulfilling a longstanding desire for a son.
 
C: Clear
Divine direction is clear not confusing. Clear heavenly instructions are accompanied by peace whereas confusion breeds chaos. Instructions given by God in the bible always bear fruit (John 2:5-8).
 
T: Tenacity
Divine direction requires tenacity of faith to see manifestation. Abraham moved at 75 and waited 25 years before manifestation of his son. This year, be tenacious in your faith, refusing to straggle in the faith.
 
I: Involving
Abraham had to leave one place for another. His movement displayed his faith in the giver of divine direction. Your involvement in pursuing divine direction will result in your restoration, as faith without works is dead (James 2:17-20).
 
O: Order
Divine directions bring order where chaos or panic is. Jehoshaphat sought for divine direction when they were invaded. The result was a victory and restoration of order (2 Chronicles 20).
 
N: New Beginning
Divine direction will bring a new beginning, new chapter or new season in your life. Divine direction will bring laughter where sorrow was (Gen. 21:6). Deliverance from captivity becomes your story just like the children of Israel who participated in the Passover (Exodus 12:2-8, 50-51).
 
Prayer
Lord, from today I submit to you that I may walk in the Spirit being led always by You. I declare that from today I am taught of God to profit in all my endeavours. I decree that everything about me is divinely directed resulting in my restoration to God’s fullness, in Jesus name. Amen.
