Mar. 15th Praise; Praise; Praise!
Bible Reading: Ps. 48:1-2
Ps. 5:11 ‘but let all those rejoice who put their trust in you; let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them; let those also who love your name be joyful in you’
Tell the Lord He is good, altogether lovely, great and powerful. Affirm that you know He is kind, compassionate, merciful and full of love. He is God of light, the Unchanging One, faithful and our eternal Champion.
Praise Him. He is the Way-Maker, the Balm in Gilead, the Provider and Protector of Israel. Tell God He is your Defender, Redeemer, Consoler and Life-Giver. He has no comparison or competition, He stands alone as the Almighty.
God is the Mother of the motherless, Husband to the widow and Bridge over troubled waters. The Bright and Morning Star, the Daystar and the Star of David all at the same time. He is hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless and our great City of Refuge.
Give Him praise. The Lion of Judah, Ever-present Help, God of all possibilities, King Eternal, Sovereign of the Universe and Ruler of all things. He is the Lord of Hosts and the Mighty One in battle and has never lost one. Our Risen Saviour is worthy of vibrant praise.
Prayer:
- Receive grace to be an expression of God’s compelling love that goes the extra mile. 5:40-42; 2 Cor. 5:13-15
- Travail for believers to become ‘messengers of hope’ at work; and be salt and light in a dark world. 5:13-14; Is. 52:7*
Thought for the day:
