Feb. 11th Biblically Reasonable
Bible Reading: Eph. 1:17-20
Col. 2:2-3 ‘that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge’
Be biblically reasonable. Faith is reasoning in the Word to determine the steps to take in life. Note; reasoning is not for the mentally lazy but for the active minded. Those who reason in the scriptures develop persuasions and convictions of faith.
The woman with the issue of blood ‘thought-through’ the Word she heard from the demoniac. David reasoned with Saul and established that God had helped him kill lions and bears in the past and developed faith for the future. Mat. 8:32-34; 9:20-21
Think, brood, meditate and reason what the bible says about your health, wealth and wellbeing. Refuse to consider or think anything that is not God’s will for you, irrespective of who said it or where it came from. Ps. 19:14
David said in Ps. 19:14, ‘let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer’. Meditate and speak God’s Word ONLY! Ensure your ‘reasoning’ is synchronised with Jer. 29:11 _ ‘for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope’
Prayer:
i. Ask God to baptise you with the Spirit of prayer and praise as a tool for victory Ps. 67:5; Lk. 11:1; Zech. 12:10
ii. Lift standards against Satan orchestrating religious and civil unrest, bloodshed and confusion in nations Is. 59:19
Thought for the day:
Words are mostly public but thoughts are generally private. Both must be effective weapons of faith.
