Jan. 24th ‘Uncovering Devilish Deception’ – Daily Devotional by Dr Albert Odulele
Bible Reading: Rev. 12:9; 2 Cor. 11:3
Ps. 19:2 ‘day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge’
The devils main weapon against Christians and non-believers is deception. He is masterful at tricks, gimmicks, deceitfulness, etc. ‘So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world…’ Rev. 12:9
‘Deceives the whole world.’ Paul said ‘I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ’ 2 Cor. 11:3 One of the principal weapons to defeat the devils deception is wisdom.
Refuse to be deceived. Don’t take in the devils ‘mirages’ concerning your health, family, church, future or prospects. The future is bright. ‘Plans are established by counsel; by wise counsel wage war’ Prov. 20:18
Wage war against the lies and evil strategies of the devil ravaging your mind and circumstances. ‘…By wise counsel wage war’. Battles will come, they are not optional and you do not need to have offended the devil.
There was war in heaven, and that’s God’s abode. Stop asking the question ‘why me?’ Start asking for the wisdom that guarantees victory. ‘Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth’ Mat. 28:18. Take your stance in wisdom and let the devil know you are not fooled.
Prayer:
- Pray that God speaks wisdom and truth to your heart night and day 19:2
- Pray for Europe _ Worlds most urbanized continent, 12% of world population, 269 spoken languages and concrete jungles that need the Gospel. 2 Thess. 3:1; Acts 19:20
Thought for the day:
Eve was deceived into believing she wasn’t ‘like God’. Twisted thoughts lead to distorted actions.
