September 15th Faith And Trust I
Bible Reading: Hab. 2:4; Rom. 1:17; Gal. 3:11; Heb. 10:38
1 Tim. 6:12 ‘fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses’
Walk by faith, this defines your Christianity. Make faith a lifestyle, a manner of living and code of practice. Let faith be your modus operandi. ‘The just shall live by his or her faith…’ Those who walk by faith enjoy ‘wow’s’ and not ‘woes’ and rule despite the storms of life.
The truth is your faith is constantly under satanic siege. The devil knows your faith is the door to covenant manifestations, the access code to realised prophecy and the ‘PIN’ to divine promises. Telly-evangelist Oral Roberts was sent to heal the sick but the first 1,000 people he prayed for did not get healed. Had his faith failed we would never have heard of him. Keep faith alive.
Lk. 22:31-32 ‘and the Lord said, Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to me, strengthen your brethren’
Peter walked on water by faith in the Word Jesus spoke ‘come’ Mat. 14:24-33. Shortly afterwards he began to sink because he focused on the wind and waves and not the word. When you rely on natural senses faith fails but when your spirit-man is fixed on the word the law of faith kicks in. Rom. 3:27
Prayer:
i. Thank God for a table prepared for you in the presence of your enemies. Ps. 23:5
ii. Pray that the Body of Christ increasingly grows into spiritual maturity. Eph. 4:15
Thought for the day:
The just shall live by his or her faith; your faith works for you.
