September 20th Battles Of The Mind III
Bible Reading: Josh. 2:8-13
Prov. 23:6-8 ‘do not eat the bread of a miser, nor desire his delicacies; for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Eat and drink! He says to you, but his heart is not with you. The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up, and waste your pleasant words’
Science has finally caught up with Scriptures and acknowledges that your meditations become your manifestations. Your thoughts are your self-talk, the things you say inwardly to yourself and average people say 150-300 words to themselves every minute. This amazingly is 2,500 thoughts said to ‘you’, by ‘you’, every hour.
Experts say it’s not the quantity of ones thoughts but the quality; that 98% of thoughts are repetitive and 80% negative. These cause bodily secretions that seriously impact stress levels, health, happiness and capacity to function. Its self-talk that governs your perceptions, decisions and reactions to real life situations.
Mat. 9:4 ‘but Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, why do you think evil in your hearts?’
Do not spend time with people who think negatively. Remember you are a summation of your thoughts and that negative thoughts dismantle positive words and actions. Change your mind habits, reset your happiness meter, reprogram your thoughts and reverse all the unscriptural trends in your life.
Prayer:
i. Ask God to empower you by the Holy Spirit to be an effective witness. Acts 1:8
ii. Pray that believers will walk in the fear of God and flee from every appearance of evil. 1 Tim. 6:11
Thought for the day:
Negative thoughts dismantle positive words and actions.
