September 19th Battles Of The Mind II
Bible Reading: 2 Cor. 10-3-5; Ps. 4:1-10
1 Sam. 2:30 ‘…for those who honour me I will honour, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed’
Your walk with God is everything. Do not let people wrongly determine your opinion of yourself. Having a negative perception of self will puncture the wheel of faith and render the covenant ineffective. This is an error several have fallen victim to with disastrous consequences.
Abraham told God ‘see I go childless’ Gen. 15:2, Peter rebuked Jesus saying ‘you will not go to the Cross’ Mk. 8:32 while Israel moaned before God about being ‘like grasshoppers’ Num. 13:33. Even the thirty-eight year crippled told Jesus ‘I have not a man’ Jn. 5:7. These utterances were consequences of ill-sourced thoughts.
Gen. 15:2 ‘but Abram said, Lord God, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?’
Change your thinking and start reasoning as God does. ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ’ 1 Cor. 2:16 Involve the Word and the Spirit in your mental conclusions and decisions. Free yourself from stinking thinking and commence constant covenant considerations.
Prayer:
i. Pray for the body of Christ to serve God with passion and fervour. Job. 36:11
ii. Overturn the forces contending against the purposes of God for Glory House 2 Cor. 10:3-5
Thought for the day:
Stinking thinking is the beginning of all declining.
