September 3rd Thanksgiving; Praise & Worship I
Bible Reading: Acts 16:19-25; Dan. 3:16-25; Jn. 11:41-44
Ps. 34:1-3 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together’
Let us consider a crucial covenant practice for manifesting the goodness, greatness and glory of God. Thanksgiving, praise and worship are the ultimate expressions of prayer, faith and communion with God. ‘For’ the Lord is good. When approaching God personally, publicly in prayer, practice giving Him glory.
Make thanksgiving, praise and worship a lifestyle. Form habits and addictions in these regards you never recover from. By the Spirit and grace of God receive enablement to do these at all times, in all places and irrespective of circumstances. Magnify the Lord from the heart and give Him glory like a gushing stream.
2 Chron. 20:21 ‘and when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever’
Paul and Silas praised when locked in prison with a death sentence hanging over them. The three Hebrew youth sang to God while being thrown in a fiery furnace. Jesus gave thanks in front of the tomb of Lazarus. This is a kingdom secret. Learn to give God glory as a covenant practice.
Prayer:
i. Pray that God’s great grace for exploits abounds towards the body of Christ. Neh. 8:10
ii. Declare that the sound of victory and triumph emanates from Glory House. Ezra. 3:13; Ps. 28:15
