August 26th Hard Work II
Bible Reading: Jam. 1:17; Ps. 1:3; Deut. 28:8
Ps. 75:6-7 ‘for exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another’
Hard work exposes potential and brings you into the dynamics of success. It opens prosperity and progress channels, making your value more visible. Hard work does not guarantee success but its’ fulfilling your part and by so doing allowing God to play His. God blesses effort, resilient engagement, unrelenting enterprise and devoted physical investment.
Prov. 21:31
‘the horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord’
You have to be doing ‘something’ for God to make successful. Paul said ‘if any will not work, let him not eat’ 2 Thess. 3:10. Give yourself to tireless endeavour accompanied with discipline (control and order) and wisdom (prudent judgement) and success will explode all around you.
Prov. 6:10-11 ‘a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep so shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man’
Prayer:
i. Pray the Word of God is preached unhindered in the nations of this world. 2 Thess. 3:1; Rom. 16:25-26
ii. Present the nations before God, and ask Him to reign supreme over them. Job. 12:23; Ps. 22:27-28
Thought for the day:
Hard work is a necessary success habit.
