August 24th Renew Your Mind IV ‘Invigoration’
Bible Reading: Phil. 4:8-9
Phil. 4:8
‘finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things’
Thoughts are seeds and you reap what you plant mentally. They are images, a collation of what sights you expose yourself to. Thoughts are also reinforced by words spoken repeatedly. So re-invigorate your mind with positive bible promises and pronouncements. This isn’t an easy task but the un-renewed mind is the biggest antagonist of success.
Phil. 4:9 ‘the things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you’
The devil will keep saying ‘you can’t succeed’, ‘you will not be healed’ or ‘things will get worse’. But invigorate your mind with truth, success material and positive reinforcement. Success thinking thinks truth, pure, power, honest, lovely, praise, just and good-report thoughts. Whatever does not fit these parameters must be discarded promptly.
Prayer:
i. Pray that the Body of Christ will honour its elders, leaders and those who labour amongst them. 1 Tim. 5:17
ii. Pray that Christians will walk in the fear of God and hate sin passionately. Acts 5:1-4; Eph. 5:21; 2 Cor. 7:1; Rev. 14:7
Thought for the day:
Whatever you do not want, refuse to think it.
