On the 4th of March 2014, I received a letter regarding my daughter’s secondary school placement. She did not get her first choice of school, which she really wanted, and she found the letter very upsetting. It made me cry for days because of the added fact that it was the school that we were all looking forward to her going to.
I decided to appeal the decision. Before the appeal date I kept on praying. I placed the decision letter and other documents related to the appeal in the anointed handkerchief and sprinkled it with my anointed oil, and kept it in the bible that I prayed with every morning and night. I also told my daughter to remember the school name whenever she prays and so we kept on praying.
On the appeal day I fasted and took my bible with all the documents and handkerchief in between it to the meeting. I also took my olive oil as well, which I applied on my lips, my eyelids and the palms of my hand. I also took my daughter’s anointed handkerchief and kept it in my pocket.
After the appeal meeting I continued praying to God and confessing that He knows what is best for my daughter and that I want a school that will bring the best out of her.
Almost three weeks after the appeal, I received a letter saying that they declined the appeal. I followed up with a phone call to the school to find out her position on the waiting list. The reply confirmed that she was number 42. I turned to my daughter and said, ”God knows what is best for you and no matter what school you go to, you will be fine”. We moved on from the appeal and we focused on the school that she had been given a place in.
It was the first week of July; I fasted on the Wednesday and prayed to God to bless me with divine favour, and an unusual out pouring of His blessing; for unexpected miracles, testimonies, thanksgiving and blessings.
On Friday morning of the following week, I received a phone call from the lady who represented the school during the appeal. She said she knew we did not win the appeal and that she knew that we had to settle for another school. She then asked if we still wanted the space and I replied that yes we did. She asked that my daughter and I come in the following Monday for an interview. When I put the phone down I shouted out very loud, praising the Lord and singing songs of praise and declaring how wonderful and marvellous it is serving a living God.
I can confirm that my daughter was given a space in the school.
During this time God also restored my finances.
I must say when you pray, believe in it. Nothing is too hard or difficult for God to do.
These unusual blessings also brought my daughter closer to God.
Praise God.
