June. 5th Profits Of Prayer III
Bible Reading: Jn. 16:8; Jn. 16:8; 2 Kg. 4:32-36; 1 Sam. 1:9-20
Is. 25:8-9 ‘He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. And it will be said in that day: behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation’
The Holy Spirit convicts the lost and souls are won to the kingdom when folk pray. Grace is also poured out where prayer reaches out compelling disgrace to take flight. That’s why the bible says ‘come boldly to the throne of grace in time of need’ Heb. 4:16
Jesus said ‘this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting’. The secret to His dominion over demons, disease and death and walking in great authority was prayer and fasting. If you want to prevail over raging storms, pray.
When Peter was locked up and slated for execution the church did not wail, moan or employ lawyers. Acts 12:5 says ‘constant prayer was offered to God for him…’ As a result a miraculous deliverance took place. Prayer is a super highway to divine deliverance, no matter how imminent or severe the threat.
Hannah prayed and ‘the Lord remembered her’ 1 Sam. 1:19. God says ‘put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted’ Is. 43:26. Prayer puts God in remembrance of His promises and prophecies concerning you and moves Him to move on your behalf. Start praying today.
Prayer:
i. Pray this simple prayer _ ‘Lord remember me’ and tell Him in what way you want to be remembered Is. 43:26
ii. Ask God to send rain on your life and end the years of famine and hardship Jam. 5:17-18
