Apr. 19th Give Thanks
Bible Reading: 1 Thess. 5:18; 1 Jn. 5:4; Rev. 12:11
 

 
1 Thess. 5:18 ‘in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you’
The bible does not say ‘for everything give thanks’ but ‘in everything give thanks’. Many have misunderstood this bible passage _ God is not asking you to thank Him for disasters, disease, debt, debacles, devils, etc. Certainly not!
God has not asked you to thank Him for miserable days and life’s storms but to praise Him in them or whilst going through them. In whatever circumstance you find yourself, no matter how severe, have a thankful heart.
It is so easy to moan and complain about people, situations and circumstances and it does it take much to get upset or angry in the face of disappointment. But remember to commit to do what is right; recall God’s faithfulness to His promises and give Him glory regardless.
Faith is tested in adversity and we overcome by ‘the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony’. Thanksgiving and praise are part of your testimony. If you have faltered, failed, been discouraged or disheartened then give thanks; God will ultimately align you with His will. ‘All things works together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose’ Rom. 8:28
Prayer:
• Pray that God will arise and favour you on every side. Command doors of opportunities to open to you. Ps. 5:12; Rev. 3:7-8
• Declare over the GH family a new season of wisdom to get wealth and generosity to establish the Kingdom Acts 4:33-34; Deut. 8:18
