Bible Reading:     Lk. 17:1-2; Mat. 11:6
 

Hab. 3:17-19 ‘though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labour of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls — yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills’
Here is a mystery to consider, praise protects your harvest from destruction. Habakkuk was an insightful prophet and stuck with praise even when things seemed to go terribly wrong. What is your praise response, or a lack of it, to a ‘little’ adversity?
The prophet said ‘I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation’ despite all the things that are not right. He was so certain that God would come through and boasted about the One who ‘will make me walk on my high hills’
Preserve your blessings and take God’s praise commandments seriously. ‘Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you’ Deut. 28:47-48
Too many saints lose everything at the place of grumpy discontentment towards God. They focus on what appears not to be working and lose sight of all the blessings of God. Make a major praise adjustment and repent of the things that readily provoke the Lord’s displeasure.
Prayer:
• Ask for divine leading for investments, wealth creation ventures and to insure your future against famine. Ps. 37:19; Ps.33:18-20
• Ask the Lord to favour you before all men and provoke even your competitors to help you. Lk. 2:52; Pro. 16:7
