Mar. 8th Crowns With Kindness And Mercy
Bible Reading: Ps. 103:1-5; Is. 54:10
Ps 103:4-5 ‘…who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s’
Feeding, lodging and clothing are expressions of the loving kindness of God and must never be taken for granted. Thank God for these blessings knowing you aren’t better than those lacking salvation, redemption, employment, sound health, children, wealth, joy, etc.
God’s mercy prevents deserved judgement and His favour passes what one does not deserve. Let your thanksgiving celebrate His undeserved mercy and favour. David said ‘forget not His benefits’ or you will not be thankful.
Give God glory for keeping you strong, vibrant, youthful and energetic. Abraham began walking with God at 75, had Isaac at 99 and climbed mountains at 112. Moses was re-called at 80 and was a mountain climber with clear sight at 120.
Thank God and create a path for Him to do the same and more for you. Isaiah 54:10 says ‘for the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has mercy on you’
Prayer:
• Crush evil schemes against you and your family. Declare total destruction to such plans. Is. 54:17; Job 5:12; Is. 44:24-25
• Commit and rededicate the ‘Church’ to the spirit of true godliness and holiness. 1 Pt. 1:15-16; Is. 60:21; 2 Cor. 6:14
Thought for the day:
God’s mercy and favour are key to your desired destination.
