Feb. 18th Walk In Love I
Bible Reading: 1 Cor. 13:2, 13; Mat. 22:37-40; 6:33
Gal. 5:6 ‘for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love’
Love is the ‘turbo injection’ booster of faith. Every divine promise, provision and prophecy is activated by love. Jesus basically taught that you must love God and also love your neighbour. When you do, all other things will be added to you.
Abraham loved God above anything or anyone. David loved God unconditionally. You see, men look on the outside but God looks at the heart. When you are full of the love of God you will be full of God. Gen. 22:17; Ps. 42:1-2; 63:1-4; Jer. 33:20-21
Love attracts and secures God’s attention. It also determines the depth of ones revelation in the Word; after all the secrets of a person are found with confidants who have a love relationship. The Lord said ‘shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing’ Gen. 18:17
The opposite of love is strife, anger, bitterness, rancour, etc. These attract devils but love draws revelation and God’s presence. Think of practical ways to love God passionately and your neighbours unreservedly. Eph. 3:16-19; 1 Cor. 2:9-10; Jn. 15:15; 1 Jn. 4:7-8
Prayer:
i. Decree that none shall die prematurely; but be fruitful and grow to a full ripe old age Ps. 91:16; 92:11-14
ii. Ask God to baptise your Pastor and all ministers afresh with the Spirit of wisdom, power, strength and courage. Jam. 1:5-6
Thought for the day:
Faith needs love to work
