August 13th Proclaim The Word I
Bible Reading: Gen. 1:1-3; Mk. 11:23; Mat. 12:37

Josh. 1:8 ‘this Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success’
The bible must not ‘depart from your mouth…’ God told Joshua. Biblical success demands that you speak the word perceptibly. You can’t amount to anything until you begin to talk right. Start saying God’s word regardless of what’s around; this is a responsibility and requirement of the success covenant. Don’t fall victim to careless and uninformed utterances that empower the devil.
Prov. 6:2 ‘you are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth’
The things that come out of your mouth mark you and determine your future. Bible words are powerful, irresistible and spiritually forceful. Your words control your thoughts and actions too so bible speaking is the first step to covenant success. Never say ‘I’m good for nothing’, ‘I’m managing’ or ‘things are not working’. Start proclaiming with joy the word of the Lord.
Prov. 18:21
‘death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit’
Prayer:
i. Spend time thanking God for His grace, mercy and peace in your life. Eph. 2:8; Ps. 100:4
ii. Declare that you will not miss out on any of God’s daily benefits. Ps. 68:19
Thought for the day:
Speak right and eventually things will turn out right.
