March 29th                    Forget The Past
Bible Reading:              Gen. 19:17, 26; Eccl. 7:9-10

Gen. 19:26 ‘but his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt’

Those who cannot let go of the past distort their path. Do not compare your past to your present and derail your prophecy. This is a hideous sin and anyone who finds themselves doing this must ask for God’s forgiveness.

Let go of your past successes and failures too. No one drives forward focused on the rearview mirror and without eventually crashing. Those who keep looking back do not escape becoming ‘a pillar of salt’ which never moves or changes location.

Escape for your life…do not look behind you nor stay in the plain…’ Gen. 19:17 says. Stop brooding upon past jobs, positions, monies, possessions, etc and look ahead. See as God sees and live in the reality of the scriptures and not circumstances.

Israel said ‘life in Egypt was better’, provoked God to anger and were destroyed. They said ‘we remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic’ Num. 11:5.

Eccl 7:17 ‘do not be overly wicked, nor be foolish: why should you die before your time?’
