March 22nd                   A Way Of Escape – By Dr Albert Odulele

Bible Reading:              Hos. 4:6; Ps. 3:3; Ps. 16:11; 149:6

1 Cor. 10:13 ‘No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.’

Let’s start today’s study with the simple concept _ ‘with God there is a way out of every single predicament in life’. The greatest challenge, most times, is finding the escape route and sadly ‘the only mountain in life is the mountain of a man’s ignorance’

Read this testimony from a congregant in Glory House showing how the Lord delivered him from a sentence of ill health:

‘Over a period of 3 months I was unwell and underwent many medical tests. Eventually the doctors concluded that I was epileptic. I remembered what David declared in Psalms 23 and how he feared no evil, always looking forward to the table of good things God was preparing for him. As I began to praise God, I knew God would see me through the situation. I refused to accept the medical report and chose to praise God, for His report would be my report. Today by the grace of God I am free of the affliction of the enemy.’

Find the way of escape in God’s presence; that’s where you will find direction, overflowing joy and eternal pleasures. Praise is a highly recommended way to get out of situations that challenge destiny. Praise God continually. Sing with melody in your heart and magnify the God of wonders.

Prayer

  • Ask for a generous liberal heart and increased grace to give to the needy. Is. 58:7; Prov. 11:25; 3:27; 2 Cor. 8:7
  • Repent on behalf of the nations for wickedness, godlessness and evil that brings calamity and suffering. Hab. 2:12-13; Is. 59:3-4

Thought for the Day
When praise takes you into God’s presence, hell will bow to you.
