Jan. 16th ‘Praise, Praise …And More Praise!’ by Dr Albert Odulele

Bible Reading:     Is. 30:29-31; Eph. 5:17-19

Ps. 119:164 ‘seven times a day I praise you, because of your righteous judgments’

url

David was a warrior king but created time to praise God seven times a day and was referred to as the ‘sweet psalmist of Israel’. (2 Sam. 23:1) As a result, he was endowed with unusual measures of inspiration and wisdom.

Wherever you find abundance of praise there is always an abundance of solutions (wisdom). ‘You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel. The Lord will cause His glorious voice to be heard’ Is. 30:29-30

Praise causes ‘His glorious voice to be heard’ and God only speaks wisdom. When praise is ‘amplified’ His voice is ‘clarified’. Approach God praising Him; not complaining, murmuring or groaning. There are those who look for God through prayer and those who through praise make God look for them.

Consider these passages and become a ‘praise addict’:

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord’            Eph. 5:19

‘But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth’                                          Jn. 4:23-24

Prayer:

  1. Do it differently this time. Make your prayer time a praise session. Sing, praise and make melody towards your King

Ps. 34:1-4

Thought for the day:

Place God and His wisdom firmly in your affairs; give Him fervent praise constantly.
