September 23rd Govern Your Speech II
Bible Reading: Prov. 6:2-5; Heb. 1:14

Jam. 1:25-26 ‘but he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless’
You are ensnared, bound or incarcerated by your words and if you have spoken wrongly, refuse to sleep till you have delivered yourself. On the other hand, wholesome speech is a tree, source and spring of life. These are covenant truths that must not only be recognised but also practiced.
Speak joy and gladness. Proclaim health and healing. Declare provision and abundance. Confess victory and triumph. Decree righteousness and justice. Be positive, consistent and biblically driven in anything you ever say.
Eccl. 5:6 ‘do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?’
Those who confess the word constantly and consistently pull the Hand of God in their direction and put angels to work. You can and should start monitoring your speech today. Be the biggest critic of your own utterances and allow the Spirit of Pentecost to birth a fresh wave of prophetic utterances in you.
Prayer:
i. Declare that you have the mind of Christ and prevail over carnal and satanic thoughts. 1 Cor. 2:16; 2 Cor. 10:3-5
ii. Pray that Glory House continues to be a people who worship God in Spirit and truth. Jn. 4:24
Thought for the day:
Prove Pentecost by the power of your pronouncements.
