June. 17th Boost Your Prayers III
Bible Reading: Mk. 11:24; Prov. 10:24; Jude 1:20; 1 Cor. 14:2
Ps. 21:1-2 ‘the king shall have joy in your strength, O Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah’
How much do you want what you want? God taught Samuel a crucial lesson by saying ‘…the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart’ 1 Sam. 16:7.
God examines the inner man. He weighs the strength of your desire and the sincerity thereof. A lot of praying is crippled by impassionate and lack-luster petitions. Hannah prayed from the bottom of her heart. She was so passionate she offered God the son she did not even have. 1 Sam. 1:11
Ask with strong desire. The bible says ‘delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart’ Ps. 37:4. God gives ‘the desire of your heart’, the stronger the desire the more potent the request.
Finally, pray in your heavenly language daily. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues boosts prayer. ‘Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered’ Rom. 8:26
Prayer:
i. Pick a specific subject and ensure it is God’s will that you have it and pray with heartfelt desire. Ps. 37:4
ii. Pray for a flow of bible truth and revelation in all the churches of God in your nation. Eph. 1:17-23; Phil. 1:9-11
Thought for the Day:
Daily prayer in the Spirit is a wise and necessary discipline
