May 28th The Worshipper
Bible Reading: Jn 4:24; Jn 14:6
Heb 13:1 “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
Some of the greatest times I’ve ever had in fellowship with God has been in my private time of worship. I could sing one song after the other, climbing higher and higher into the glory of God. However, the really awesome, magnificent and grandiose times have been when the Holy Spirit has given me the songs to sing.
The Holy Spirit is the true worship leader. Our congregational times of worship would be far more enriching if the worship leaders submit their leading to the true Worship Leader. The one who leads us into the presence of God. ‘By Him we are able to continually offer the sacrifice of praise’.
Human effort begets human results but divine encounters produce everlasting fruit. It’s the Spirit of the Lord that leads us into all truth and we are called to worship God in spirit and in truth. Only the Holy Spirit can lead us into the throne room of God. Not only does He have the directions, He is the direction!
Exciting times lie ahead. If you want to move from this world to God’s heavenly realm; If you want to operate in the high calling of God for your life; If you want to receive divine revelations that impact your destiny, then come up higher. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your worship. You will never be the same again.
Prayer:
• Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. Ps 43:3
• Lead me to higher ground. Ps 61:2
Thought for the day:
He will lead me into green pastures.
