June. 28th The Prayer of Agreement I
Bible Reading: Deut. 32:30
Mat. 18:19 ‘again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them’
The prayer of agreement is prayer that involves two or more people asking for a definite thing. It produces great results no matter how huge the challenge. Jesus said ‘if you agree’ then ‘it will be done for them by my Father in heaven’.
God is bound to answer if parties are agreed, even if they are not physically together and the matter at hand is an impossible one. The prayer of agreement multiplies authority for outstanding results. ‘Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour’ Eccl. 4:9
Let’s be clear about what it means to be agreed as most seem to think being together in the same room is agreement. True agreement is seeing things the same way, genuine harmony of spirit and rendering a collective bible ruling on the situation.
Read what God said in Gen. 11:6, ‘indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.’ Nothing is beyond the reach of agreeing parties in prayer.
Prayer:
i. Pray that God will multiply and manifest the word of His grace in greater dimensions Acts 14:3; 19:20
ii. Give God praise for His mercy and goodness as we approach the end of the first half of the year Ps. 103:1-5; 23:6
