August 15th Ponder The Word I
Bible Reading: Josh. 1:8; Lk. 8:4-15

2 Pt. 1:4
‘by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust’
The next milestone on the journey to biblical success is as important as the first. ‘You shall meditate in it day and night…’ Success is elusive to those who do not have time to meditate on the word. Meditation is the key that gives deep conviction of the incorruptible and indestructible truth of God.
Ps. 119:148
‘my eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on your word’
The word is our success seed and the practice of meditation plants and establishes it in the heart. Jesus said ‘now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God’ Lk. 8:11. The word meditated on is the word that can be acted upon. In times of trial and temptation, the bible passages you know intellectually will quickly disappear but those encountered through meditation will prompt faith actions.
Ps. 119:48 ‘my hands also I will lift up to your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes’
Prayer:
i. Ask that God will show forth His glory through believers around the world. Num. 14:21; Hab. 2:14
ii. Pray that Christian stories will not be limited to only past glories. 1 Sam. 4:22
Thought for the day:
Meditation is the key to revelation for divine manifestations.
