March 31st                    Give The Devil No Place
Bible Reading:              Gen. 26:12-22; Jer. 29:11

Eph. 4:27 ‘nor give place to the devil’

Give praise its rightful place in your life and not the devil. Pay no attention to thoughts, emotions, memories or perceptions that do not encourage your praise. Paul said ‘give no place to the devil’ because the closer you get to a thing the more prominent it becomes.

I was in Rio de Janeiro and visited the Christ the Redeemer Statue. It stands 40m tall on a 700m mountain and is quite a sight to behold from miles away. Interestingly it was a little speck initially but as we got closer it started getting bigger and bigger in appearance.

Don’t let anything get so close to your heart or sight that it becomes big enough to stop you from praising God. Isaac kept digging wells till he got to Rehoboth. Be preoccupied with destiny and God’s glory and nothing else.

God has great things in store for you. Trust Him enough to praise Him in the face of contention, opposition, distraction and desertion. Keep going forward and soon the God of your praise will provide a way for vindication.

Prayer

  • Pray for peace, joy and gladness no matter the circumstance. Rom. 15:13; Jn. 14:27; Phil. 4:7; Is. 12:3; Neh. 8:10b
  • Pray that God’s love burns anew in GH; sincere ‘agape’ love in the departments, ministries, leadership etc. Col. 1:8; Phil. 1:9

Thought for the Day
The devil does not have the power to impose himself on you
