Jan. 29th ‘Wisdom Is Explicit’ – By Pastor Albert Odulele
Bible Reading:     Lk. 7:35; Eccl. 8:1

Lk. 7:35 ‘But wisdom is justified by all her children.’

Wisdom is explicit in nature and always has results to prove its presence. When wisdom manifests itself, corresponding fruit abound that attest to it. The superiority of God’s ‘divine counsel’, called wisdom, stops shame, stress, strain and struggles.

After sitting with a couple for about five hours I felt things were simply hopeless. It appeared like an impossible impasse. Then God’s wisdom came to me and I realised that the wife was deeply hurt about his manner towards her. The man, on the other hand, had unaddressed inner rage. As soon as these were tackled the home was restored.

Oh, that you had heeded my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea’ Is. 48:18

Wise folk speak less but their fewer words are weighty and meaningful. Lk. 21:15 says ‘for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist’. So wisdom is verbally explicit and is reflected in ones utterances.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit’ Prov. 18:21

Prayer:

  1. Consider aspects of your life where struggles are prevalent and ask God to give you specific wisdom for such areas. Jam. 1:5-6
  2. Pray that through the expression of wisdom in your life, the lost will come to salvation. 60:3

Thought for the day:
Wherever stress, shame and struggles are present wisdom is absent
