Apr. 7th                Ingratitude Is Iniquity – by Dr Albert Odulele
Bible Reading:     2 Tim. 3:2; Num. 14:2
devotional
Lk. 6:35 ‘but love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil’
Ingratitude is a notable sin before the Lord and to be unthankful provokes Him to anger. Psalm 107:15 says ‘oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!’
When your heart or words complain about poor health, unpaid bills, slow career progress, etc, you imply that God is not good or that He is failing you. This is a serious allegation to level against the Most High God. The Israelites complained and a whole generation died in the wilderness
‘Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness’ Lam. 3:22-23 Only God knows what could, should or would have happened if He did not stay the hand of the enemy.
Get rid of this great folly of the heart and be thankful. Bless God for life, love and liberty. Appreciate the little things that make life meaningful. Celebrate God for the things you do not understand and trust Him to finish the good work He has begun.
