September 27th Godliness IV
Bible Reading: Ps. 1:1-3; Acts 10:34-35; Prov. 3:7

Is. 51:3 ‘for the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody’
Return to ‘Eden’, the place of God’s rich blessings, health, strength, abundance, joy and purpose. Remember, those who ‘toy’ with sin ‘trade-in’ their place in Eden. Sin separates. It wards off grace, health, virtue and wealth. ‘There they are in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous’ Ps. 14:5
A life of righteousness fends off satanic allegations, human accusations and is a free ticket into a life of exploits. Paul writes ‘for bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come’ 1 Tim. 4:8
1 Tim. 4:8 ‘for bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come’
Use the name of Jesus as a defence against sin. Also apply the blood of Jesus in times of temptation and raise the shield of faith in the battle for godliness. Victory is certain but the battle is just as certain. Phil. 2:10; Rev. 12:11; Heb. 11:2; Eph. 6:16
Prayer:
i. Proclaim that the earth, its nations and all peoples belong to God. Ps. 24:1; Mat. 28:18
ii. Decree a termination of doubt in your life; the just shall live by faith. Prov. 3:5-6
Thought for the day:
If it is of value then it is worth fighting for.
