Feb. 2nd Rudimentary Faith
Bible Reading: Mk. 11:23-24; Jn. 4:24; Ps. 62:5-7
Rom. 10:10-11 ‘for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (11) for the Scripture says, whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame’
It is important to understand the rudiments of faith. For instance, faith only works and triumphs when its’ from the ‘heart’ (the spirit-man). It does not produce the goods when its’ from the ‘head’. The bible says ‘from the heart one believes…’ Plant faith in your heart
Secondly, if faith is not ‘absolute’ with no ‘alternatives’ it is ‘artificial’. Double dealing faith is ‘fake faith’ and will not produce the desired outcomes. God said ‘you shall have no other gods before me’ Exod. 20:3. Absolute faith is boundless and always has widespread results.
Determine to trust God completely. Lean on Him and none other. Be unrelenting, undeterred and unambiguous about your faith. Let your modus operandi be ‘if God does not do it, let it remain undone’. Have no Plan B’s or alternative safety nets that suggest that God could fail to come through.
Double mindedness paralyses faith. Stand firm; let conviction dominate your heart. Like David, say ‘my soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God’ Ps. 62:5-7
Prayer:
i. Pray that God’s glory and power be revealed constantly in and through you. Jn. 11:40
ii. Ask God that every GH member be a sign and wonder with proof of testimonies and miracles Acts 6:8; Is. 8:18
Thought for the day:
Nothing defines and re-defines destinies like absolute faith.
