September 8th Engaging God’s Word II
Bible Reading: Prov. 4:20-27

Hos. 4:6 ‘my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children’
Knowledge is having the facts of or about truth. It knows God’s position and promise about matters through reading and studying the bible. Knowledge does not come by the laying on of hands or the anointing oil poured on you; you must give personal attention to searching for divine truth.
Knowledge makes free from sin, sickness, sorrow and satan. Truth empowers for extraordinary and exceptional exploits but conversely ignorance paves the way for disease, devils, destruction and even death.
Jn. 8:32 ‘and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’
Friend, knowledge comes by the way of instruction, study, reading, writing, learning, schooling, etc. It takes deliberate consistent daily effort on the part of the individual. No one becomes a nuclear scientist by prayer; likewise no one becomes a reservoir of divine secrets without study.
Prayer:
i. Rebuke all traces of sorrow and sighing; you live in God’s presence Ps. 16:11
ii. Pray for all believers in your nation, that they will take God’s Word seriously. Jer. 15:16
Thought for the day:
Pursue knowledge with the passion of destiny
