June. 16th Boost Your Prayers II
Bible Reading: Lk. 1:45; Jam. 1:6-8
Mk. 11:23-24 ‘for assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’
Nothing works, as it should, in the kingdom of God without faith. The bible says ‘without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him’. Heb. 11:6
Whenever I set out on a drive, the first thing I check is, petrol. Is there enough petrol for the journey? This is a wise practice, as I am sure you will agree. Always ensure you have the faith for your prayers or risk getting stuck halfway to the answer. Faith is a prayer booster.
When you pray, that is every time you talk to your heavenly Father, speak with faith in your heart. Have a strong bible premise for your request, understand it clearly and believe He ‘is ready to perform His Word’ Jer. 1:12. Faith comes from hearing, studying, meditating and acting upon God’s Word.
‘But let him ask in faith, with no doubting…’ Jam. 1:6. Do not mix prayer and doubt. Ask in faith and believe the petitions you placed before the Lord are granted. Do not waver and remain resolute that ‘God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?’ Num. 23:19
Prayer:
i. Ask God to increase your faith. The greater amount of faith, the more effective your praying will be. Lk. 17:5
ii. Pray for a personal, church and national revival of godliness and holiness. Phil. 1:9-11
Thought for the Day:
